The founding General Assembly of AQUA ! took place in Olivet (Orléans) on December 15, 2023, in the prestigious premises of the University of Orléans, at the Château de la Source. Already in hybrid format, and bringing together partners from several countries: 12 people were on site and 29 by videoconference.
The statutes are defined so as not to be an activist association that takes legal action, but rather a place for reflection and exchange, a resource center, a player in European cooperation, with a desire to inform public policy decisions related to water resource management, through ongoing discussion between experts from all backgrounds and local residents from many European watersheds.
This key moment for the association allowed us to organize the association’s governance by electing the Board of Directors (BoD) and the executive committee.
The following were appointed as members of the Board: Pascal Bartout (Deputy Secretary), Dominique Blaise, Charles-François Champetier, Nicolas Coiral, Elodie Denizart (President), Olivier Fouché-Grobla, and Christian Jacquemin. (assistant treasurer), Martin Keller (secretary), and Clément Van Straaten (treasurer).
