AQUA ! pleads notably for a real and open scientific confrontation and debate on river restoration. The objective of 25.000km of free flowing rivers is not understood by riverside communities on the ground. Research-action can help to rethink the river management policies and co-create alternative solutions to massified dam removal, which puts our water heritage at risk.
On the 19th of March, AQUA ! participates to a World café discussion – Foresight for inclusive just transition and green-blue growth, in the framework of the European Civil society week, notably with Volonteurope, to discuss the European Citizen Initiative for a Water Smart and Resilient Europe:
